My name is Kevin Habas and I started working in the trades while in high school and college in the mid-1980’s working on two framing crews. Experiences included framing custom houses and finishing interiors installing baseboard, window casing, stair skirting and oak railings. Also supervised a deck building crew one summer. My wife and I remodeled 3 houses and built our current house in 2003. I did a lot of the finish woodworking including built-in shelving and fireplace mantels. I began working on various customer woodworking projects in 2003 as an avocation out of a space behind our garage. I officially launched Norton Custom Woodworking, LLC in 2016. Retiring in 2021, from a sales and marketing career, allowed me to dedicate more time to custom woodworking. I built my standalone woodshop in 2022. I primarily focus on designing, planning, building and installing custom cabinets, desks, bookshelves, coffee tables, etc.
I use only the finest sourced materials in projects. A1 grade cabinet grade plywood, select or better grade hardwood and soft close hardware. I believe that using high-quality materials is essential to creating projects that will meet and excedd expectations.
